One of the more interesting things happening in the vlog world that we’re guaranteed to see a lot more of is a periodic vlog from behind the scenes of a movie. One such vlog comes from the new Superman movie director Bryan Singer over at bluetights.net.

At the time of this writing, he’s up to six different vlogs. The vlogs, in general, are fairly short. Some offer more than others, and you get the feeling watching them that you probably aren’t the only one who wishes there were more and that they covered more areas of the film making process, including more with the actors, more of the technical aspects, more from the writers, etc. That said, this is a good first step that will no doubt be expanded on by studios and film-makers in the future. It’s not hard to image how these behind the scenes vlogs will become an integral and possibly even essential part of a movie’s PR campaign, especially for movies with a built-in audience such as Superman. As there are millions upon millions out there who love the extras you get on a DVD, there will no doubt be equally large audiences for these work-in-progress vlogs.
